What thickness of chain to choose for your diamond pendant?
The thickness of your chain is proportional to the size of the diamond selected. It is the weight of the stone that determines the thickness of the chain to create the harmony of your jewel.
Here are the thicknesses of forçat chain used according to the weight of the stone:
- 0.9 mm diameter for a diamond from 0.20 to 0.29 carat
- 1.1 mm diameter for a diamond from 0.30 to 0.49 carat
- 1.3 mm diameter for a diamond from 0.50 carat
For the fishing line model, we use a 0.5 mm wire.
If you wish, we can also adapt the thickness of the chain while respecting the proportions and the solidity of the jewel. You can ask us for it thanks to the form of personalized request which is below the price of the jewel.
